Perhaps Monday night is the game in which Steven Stamkos will break out. And if that happens, it couldn’t come at a better time.

Stamkos will play at Amalie Arena in Tampa as a visitor for the first time in his potential Hall of Fame career Monday night. He’ll be looking to emerge from an early malaise that has enveloped him with the Nashville Predators.

Stamkos is playing as much, shooting as much and getting as much power-play time in Nashville as he was in Tampa, but the puck simply isn’t going into the net. Analytics suggest that luck will change at some point, and there’s no time like the present.
