The Kiwis showed an exceptional skill and defeated The Proteas by 50 runs. The former went for batting first and set the target of 362 runs with 6 wickets down. This was due to the partnership of Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson’s partnership of 164-run.
It was a daunting chase for South Africa. Although David Miller and Rassie Van Der Dussen made their best, the New Zealand’s difficult batting made them struggle. The wickets on a regular interval made a stoppage to their victory.
And with this victory, New Zealand is in the finals facing India. The latter topped its group and has defeated New Zealand in the earlier group encounters. It will be exciting to watch them against each other again.
