BCCI Fined MI Captain For Slow Over Rate Against GT.

MI (Mumbai Indians) captain, Hardik Pandya was fined ₹12 lakh for keeping a slow over rate during Saturday’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 loss to Gujarat Titans (GT) at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. MI lost the game by a heartbreaking 36 runs.

At the Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday, five-time champion MI fell to GT by a score of 36 runs.

The IPL said in a statement on Sunday that Hardik Pandya MI captain and skipper, had been punished for his team’s slow over rate against Gujarat Titans in Match No. 9 of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

“As this was his team’s first offence of the season under Article 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which pertains to minimum over-rate offences, Pandya was fined INR 12 lakhs,” the statement stated.

On the black-soil field chosen for the match at Ahmedabad, GT scored 196 runs, and MI had a difficult time chasing, finishing at 160 for six, as Gujarat recorded their first victory of the current season.

MI has yet to create their account, and this was their second consecutive loss.
