The fast bowler of India, Jasprit Bumrah, will be making his return to the IPL 2025 after being away from it for 3 months due to injury.
The world’s top-ranked test bowler was injured during the fifth test against Australia in early January. Due to this, Jasprit Bumrah missed England’s white-ball tour and the Champions Trophy.
The highly anticipated five-test series starting from 20 June between India and England is expecting Bumrah to be on tourists’ chance.
The 31-year-old’s IPL Head Coach, Mahela Jayawardene, stated, “He is available for Mumbai Indians‘ match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Monday.” “He’s training today and should be available.” He added this after losing three of their four matches this season.
“He arrived last night. He had his sessions with NCA (India’s National Cricket Academy) to finalize that.
“He’s been handed over to our physios. He’s bowling today, so all is good.”
Jasprit Bumrah gave an incredible series of performances during the BGT {Border-Gavaskar Trophy}, with 32 wickets at 13.06 in the series.
In the Sydney Test, the data were 2-33 in the first inning by Jasprit Bumrah and he was not able to continue in the second. This led to the win of Australia by 6 wickets and the series.
“Boom is coming back from a pretty decent layoff, so we need to give him that space,” as per Jayawardene. “Don’t expect too much. Knowing Jasprit, he will be up for it.”
